Folks, what can I say?
Almost 20 bands showed up.... and not one of them sucked... at all!
There were seven bands I had worked with before, of those
STILLVIEW
is the one that really shocked me (in a good way).
I did NOT think they would get the votes they did. They rocked hard and earned it!
Of the bands that I already knew...
COLD TURKEY BLUES BAND
shocked me the most in a negative way.
They blew up, broke up, and dropped out two days prior to the event.
It was the 10 unknown bands that had me excited!
Bands like
KEGTOWN LEGACY
who Ive been hearing a LOT about, but had never seen before
and
JOHN DOUGLAS COMPANY
who is just COOL to hang with!
I suppose my two greatest surprises among the unknowns were
FATAL DISORDER
who managed to just about tick everyone off at SOME point....
but still managed to rope in third place!
(FOR THE RECORD-- FATAL DISORDER and THE ULTIMATE BASEMENT ARE COOL!!)
(We had a good talk, smoked the peace pipe and all is good on MY end)
The second surprise was EASILY.....

When I looked up and saw it was only TWO people making all that sound???
My jaw hit the floor!!
