David Weisgerber owns and runs the Ultimate Basement in rural western NC. The Ultimate Basement is a center for children to come play video games, jam out on the guitar, skate, play pool, and do other fun kid centric things. This guy operates at a loss to give the local children somewhere to go and stay out of mischief. Hard economic times coupled with a show canceling on him have really put the hurt on him lately. Add to that, some turd just stole $100 from their most recent show. This guy could use some help if possible. I'm fairly certain this guy is a Christian. He has several local Christian bands play there. As far as i know this guy doesn't proselytize to the children. He just gives them a safe area to play and have internet access.

I go to the UB when I can and David has been there for me several times. Just to talk to me, to help me, to support me. He's helped me get rides to college interviews, been there to talk to, checked up on me in my quest to break drug addictions. He's helped out a lot of us in the community and given us a place to hang out and just be listened too. I know a few people that see the UB as a home away from home. I know it means a lot to him and to us.
I just got back from a show at the ultimate basement!!! That is an amazing place. "The Gerb " is definitely a cool guy. It is an absolute travesty that the community isn't embracing his efforts more. This guy is trying to do a great thing and not getting any local help.

My brother and his fiancee' asked me if I could have a live feed on the internet of their wedding in Tennessee for any family members who could not make the trip. Below are two comments found on the "Cyber-Registry" I created for them for virtual guests to sign in.
The first comment is from my Grandma who lives in Oregon.
The second one was from a surprise guest stationed in IRAQ who we never would have thought would have made it!!!
What a success!

I got this far ... to John's wedding website ... grandpa and I are looking at the pictures ... before the wedding starts. We have the picture on ... we are looking at the chairs down by the Lake and what we suspect is the alter. Hard to believe that we are there in TN. Earlier we saw the back deck with people moving about and the huge tent. You did a marvelous job! I saw Kurt there at the last beaming like a cat that was swimming in fresh cows milk. He was wearing a jacket with Indians on the back of it ..... I waved and waved to him .... I want to thank, Bobbie Jo for showing up so well in her strong pink top and staying in one place so I could focus on her ...... The girls came to her now and then so I got to see them ... I think I saw Torie the most ....... what a thrill the whole event was ... What a special gift! We loved it!
