The Listening Heart Crisis Center runs a hotline that completely free of charge and staffed by volunteers.
They are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to listen to anyone who is dealing with a crisis, no matter how large or small it may be.

High Tech Heaven and The Ultimate Basement was created in the hopes of helping people. All of them possible.
Not just the Christian ones, not just the non-smokers, not just the wealthy....
The Polk County Wellness Coalition realized that, saw what we had going on here and asked me to join them in trying to make Polk a better place.
As a parent of 5 children, I admit that The Ultimate Basement is primarily focused at teens (What ELSE is here in Polk?), but is open to ALL ages.
SOME THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT THIS PLACE!
We will not chase you around here asking you if you have any problems... but we WILL listen if you ask.
I, personally, will drop what Im doing and find a quiet place to talk if you ask and say it is important.
I am NOT your priest.... You dont get credit for admitting to me when you "mess up"
If you want my support and help, then show me effort.
Talking to me is NOT guaranteed confidential! But it is CLOSELY guarded.
This means whatever we discuss STAYS with me. I do not not even tell my wife!
UNLESS
You tell me that you plan to hurt yourself or others.
You tell me of sexual abuse to you etc.
Simalarly related: If you bring me a computer to repair with child porn, etc...... dont expect me to keep quiet.
You have obvious signs of physical abuse.
It is my belief that if YOU are trying to help yourself, then I see no need to get Social Services involved.
Thanks to the Polk County Wellness Coalition, I have several avenues that can be used to get you the help you need WITHOUT long paper trails.
I am NOT into handouts and can NOT pay your bills!
This place is killing me as it is.
